Here we go...

I've wrestled with the idea of starting a blog for several months. For me, I found myself asking the same questions repeatedly. Who would actually read this blog? What would I even write about? What if you started it and then deleted it 3 months later because you only posted 2 times? What would make your blog different from the other 3,452,237,865 blogs in the world?

To be honest, I can't answer all those questions. I just want to start something that matters. Something that helps. I'm not the guy with lots of answers. I'm just a guy with a calling to help. So I hope I write something at some point that helps.

Let me begin by listing to you what this blog is NOT:

1. It is NOT the epicenter of grammatical correctness. If people refer to you as a "Grammar Nazi," this blog might drive you crazy. Please look past the punctuation and sentence structure errors and I'll look past your faults too.
2. Just to clarify, the RT in my email, blog name and twitter, refer to my middle names Ryan Thomas. My name is NOT "Nater T." The RT does not stand for "retweet" on twitter, either. I feel better now, thanks.
3. This is a small platform but I promise to NOT use it as a soapbox. I have no intention of creating meaningless debate or division. I intend every piece to have pure motives. I refuse to pull punches or take anonymous shots.

One of my mentors, an incredible person named Russ Cripps, has taught me one valuable lesson about life. Life is a process of becoming. Since my life is in the very middle of becoming something, this blog will encompass that mantra. Some post will make perfect sense. Some post will be proven incorrect through time. Some post will be random and secular. Some post will be spiritual and eternal. I don't know what will come from this blog, but I hope it helps. I hope it matters.
